Going Green

For many families, traditional cleaning products are triggers for allergies and asthma attacks. Many specialists are now linking chemical cleaners to the alarming increase in allergies, asthma, learning disabilities and more. Going Green is more than a popular trend – it is a move to better health and a safer home for our children, our pets and the planet.

We are not experts, however, we hope to share information and resources that will help you create not only a clean home but a safe home for you and your family.

Here are some interesting statistics:

More than 80,000 chemicals, most of which did not exist fifty years ago, are registered for use in commerce in the United States, and an estimated 2,000 new ones are introduced every year. These chemicals are used in everyday items such as foods, shampoos, toys, furniture, electronics, household cleaners, and lawn care products, to name just a few. The effects of many of these chemicals on human health are unknown.
